Kasese, a Tiny Tool

With the Kasese tool, one of the Tiny Tools (click here) community members compare their past situation at the start of a development activity with their expectations and assessed on a scale where they are currently. This is followed by a reflection on what they have achieved so far and what they have not achieved. The Kasese Tool is amongst the easiest, “tiniest” of the Tiny Tools. It was actually developed as an introduction into group and individual gaol setting, which is the focus of the NGO-IDEAs Impact Toolbox.

Peer evaluation of tribal communities in ancestral domain management in the Philippines. Representatives of various clans visit and evaluate each other’s performance, leading to joint reflection.

C-MAD: Integrated Monitoring in a Dairy Project

A dairy project in Kenya developed a monitoring system that integrated implementation, process monitoring and impact monitoring on many levels, involving community members in multiple ways and generating lots of beneficial effects.
