NGO IDEAs is

A cooperation of 8 African, 22 Asian and 13 German NGOs working in the field of development cooperation. It is a unique concept as it intends to identify and develop, jointly with all partners some genuine concepts and tools for NGOs in the areas of Outcome and Impact Assessment and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E).

World Vision Bangladesh, Bhaluka ADP

Bhaluka ADP is a programme of World Vision Bangladesh initiated in 2007. It is located 80 kilometres north of the capital city of Dhaka in Bhaluka Upazila under the district of Mymensingh. Bhaluka is mainly a agricultural community. About ⅔ of the total population are poor who suffer from malnutrition, illiteracy, poor income and injustices in their daily lives. Children, women, disabled people, ethnic minority people and adolescents particularly the girls are vulnerable in this context. The goal of the ADP is, “All girls and boys, families and communities of Bhaluka ADP working area move toward wholeness of life with dignity, justice, peace and hope”. The ADP is the integration of four projects: Health, Education, Economic and Sponsorship Management which will continue to address the holistic needs of the poorest communities through phase by phase interventions. The areas of human needs such as Child Rights & Protection, Advocacy, Disability, Environment, Food Security and HIV/AIDS awareness are addressed through the planned projects focusing on the empowerment of children and poorest people. The key interventions in the first phase are pre & primary education, adult literacy, safe drinking water and sanitation, nutrition education, disability prevention, development group formation, skill training, leadership training, agriculture extension services and child protection. The ADP is funded by WV Germany. Currently the ADP got 2500 registered children who along with their families are benefiting through the ADP .
