Pact Kenya was established in 2001 as a Kenyan non-governmental organisation aiming to improve the well being of communities in Kenya and the region through capacity building initiatives.

Pact Kenya's vision:

Pact Kenya is a Kenyan non-governmental organization whose objective is to improve the well being of communities in Kenya and the region through capacity building initiatives through its vision "Responsible citizens enjoying equitable development in a safe and secure environment".

Pact Kenya's Mission:

Pact Kenya's mission is "to enable citizens and communities in Kenya and neighboring countries to live a life of dignity by strengthening individuals and organizations to be effective agents of change'.

Pact Kenya works through four strategic thematic platforms: Democracy and Governance, Women's Empowerment, Conflict Management and Natural Resource Management. It works with strategic Civil Society Organizations (CSO) partners by strengthening their capacities in these sectors through Financial Management, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MER) and Organizational Development. These CSOs in turn are able to provide much needed services to their communities across Kenya and the region as a whole.

Mr. George Cottina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Home Economics from Egerton University Kenya. He is currently pursuing advanced studies in public health and has had training in several community development areas. He has ten years experience in supporting community development work in the following core competence areas:- Participatory methodologies, Participatory monitoring and evaluation, project cycle management and result based ( performance ) management. Other areas of technical experience include:- agricultural value chains analysis, Youth focused sexual and reproductive health; HIV AIDS prevention, VCT, Behavior change communication, Nutrition and food security and Rights Based Approaches.
